"Bordering On Forgetting" is a large scale sculpture of a collapsing bridge created from a combination of old wood panels and weathered wood panels. Hung across the ECA art exhibition hall, the bridge’s thematic focus was to represent my deteriorating connection with my home country, Guatemala.

"Foreigner" is a life-size sculpture depicting an immigrant child that was separated from her mother. Created from wax molds of my body, the plaster extremities that peek through the fabric emphasize my proximity to the issue as an immigrant myself. Devised during the ICE raids of 2018, my sculpture seeks to express the inhumane nature of immigrant family separation, focusing on its harmful effects on children.

"Coping with Dysmorphia" is an observational clay sculpture that seeks to uplift plus size women who are often shamed by society. My sculpture pushes against social beauty standards, emphasizing the notion that all bodies are beautiful.
